Nioh 3 Platinum Guide: All 51 Trophies Explained (Platinum Roadmap)

Nioh 3 Trophy & Achievement Guide (Platinum Roadmap)

Earning the platinum in Nioh 3 demands serious patience and a willingness to be brutally murdered by yokai for dozens of hours straight.

Fair warning: I took a beating mapping this out. The silver lining is that Nioh 3 has zero missable trophies. Forgot to soak in a hidden hot spring? Missed shooting a bird mid-boss fight? No panic — the Battle Scroll at any shrine lets you replay any mission on demand. With enough focus, all 51 trophies are achievable within a single playthrough.

Here’s the whole achievement list broken into manageable sections so you don’t spiral into madness.

The Campaign and Combat Grind (Nioh 3)

A decent chunk of trophies drop naturally as you limp through the main story. The combat-focused ones, however, demand you actually learn the game’s systems rather than button-mashing your way through every encounter.

Story & Combat Trophies

The essential milestones for beating demons and upgrading your gear.

Achievement NameHow to Unlock It
You Are NiohCollect every other trophy in the game. The ultimate flex.
Budding Talent / Grizzled VeteranHit Level 10, then Level 100. Normal play gets you there without grinding.
Story MilestonesEight unmissable trophies unlock automatically by defeating each campaign boss, starting at Guiding Mirror and ending at As Shogun.
Arts ProficiencyKill 10 enemies with a heavy attack while your Arts Proficiency gauge is charged. Watch for the blue weapon glow — that’s your window.
NinjutsuEliminate 10 enemies using Ninja form tools or magic. Soften targets with your sword first, then finish them off with gadgets.
Burst BreakCounter a red aura attack by switching forms at the last second to stun the enemy. Pull this off 10 times.
Guardian Spirit’s AidExecute a Burst Break using a Guardian Spirit ability. This skill unlocks after completing the A Fiery Invasion mission.
Crucible Arts AdoptedPick up a Crucible weapon (red skull icon), rack up kills with it, and absorb its unique Martial Art through combat experience.
Yokai Manipulator / Soul Core OwnerCleanse a Soul Core at a shrine, then deploy a Summoning Seal during a fight to summon that yokai against an enemy.
The Blacksmith HustleFour straightforward trophies: Forge, Remodel, and Soul Match gear at the blacksmith, plus equip a complete armor set to trigger its set bonus.

The Collectible Nightmare

Buckle up. You’re about to spend a ridiculous number of hours hunting glowing ferrets and tracking down hot springs stuffed into the most obscure map corners the developers could find. Check every single alleyway — they mean it.

Exploration & Collectibles

Finding all the hidden junk scattered across the open zones.

Achievement NameHow to Unlock It
Answering to the PeopleFinish every side quest (Myths). The problematic ones are the hidden Yokai Horde Picture Scroll and Seeking Rare Yokai missions in Heian and Bakumatsu — they don’t announce themselves.
ExplorerReach Exploration Level 4 in any one region by clearing myths, spikes, and collectibles.
DevoteeDiscover and activate every named shrine and Bodhisattva Statue in the game. Green dots on your map are your guide.
Eagle-EyedShoot the floating white orbs scattered through the open world to summon Chijiko ferrets. Pet every single one.
Scampuss EnthusiastHunt down and pet every chubby Scampuss cat. Trade at least one furball in the Eternal Rift for the bonus trophy.
Spa LoverLocate and use every hidden healing hot spring across all maps.
Kodama LeaderFind all small green Kodama spirits and shepherd them back to your shrines.
Visiting the Six JizoFind and pray at all six Jizo statues hidden in the game world.
UnimpededUse every Guardian Spirit traversal move at least once on Spirit Veins.
Total ControlDestroy all 26 enemy bases. Red oni icons mark them on the map — eliminate the target enemies and loot the chests.
Lesser Crucible EradicatorKill every guard and cleanse every red fire spike across the entire game.

Bosses, Masters, and Odd Jobs

Killing giant demons is only part of the job. At one point, you will be hand-delivering feces to a man in a swamp. This is the path to platinum.

Hidden Bosses & Obscure Tasks

The weird and easily overlooked achievements.

Achievement NameHow to Unlock It
A God Among MenHunt down all 13 human Masters and defeat each one to absorb their unique weapon techniques. Several are locked behind late-game traversal abilities.
Kunimatsu’s DemonsTake down three optional bosses: Pride lurks north of Sengan Waterfall, Envy is in the Hachijo region, and Obsession is near the Mibu Temple shrine.
Senji ToyoVisit the blacksmith after killing the Great Tengu Boss to unlock the Memories in the Blade myth and see it through.
Ruckus in the SanctuaryDuring the Black Feather Sanctuary mission, shoot the three enormous projectile-launching crows repeatedly until they retreat.
Pain, Pain, Go AwayThroughout the final mission, A Sinister End, shoot the lightning bird every time it shows up to drive it away. Stock up on ammo before this mission — you’ll need it.
Distant MemoriesSoak in the hot spring alongside Himiko during the Dark Roots mission. Afterward, load the Apparition of Ryotan Temple mission and use that spring to trigger new dialogue.
Like-Minded FriendsComplete the secret Seeking Rare Yokai myth and finish the Guardian Spirit painting at the conclusion of that mission.
Dung Ball RollerLocate the stranded samurai in the swamp during the Putrid Paradise myth. Later, find him behind the blacksmith and deliver 30 Dung Balls collected from enemies. Unpleasant. Non-negotiable.
Nothing Left to LearnFinish the Novice and Adept training missions for both Hanzo and Yagyu, then conquer their Veteran missions at the shrine.
TeamworkComplete three missions in co-op, or summon the blue NPC graves if coordinating with real players sounds worse than the trophy grind itself.
